I set cookies from Google and from LinkedIn, and only if you say yes. They tell me how the site gets used and let me put my own ads in front of people who have been here. Say no and nothing is set and nothing is measured. Nothing is sold on, and nothing runs that is not named in the table below.
How the question works
There is one question, at the bottom of the page. Reject and accept sit side by side, the same size, one click each. No twenty toggles, no reject button hidden three clicks deep, no grey button next to a bright one. Say no and I will not ask again.
Nothing happens until you click. Scrolling is not consent, carrying on reading is not consent, and closing the bar is not consent. Until you choose, Google has no permission and nothing of Google's is loaded.
Which cookies exactly
These are set only after you agree.

The first three come from Google Ireland Limited, the LinkedIn ones from LinkedIn Ireland. The data can end up with Google LLC in the United States, and with your consent Google may also use it to tailor advertising. What that means, and which safeguards apply, is in the privacy policy.
Changing your mind
Whenever you like, no explanation needed.
If you reject after having accepted earlier, I delete the cookies that were already set. If you want to check for yourself how your browser handles cookies, aboutcookies.org explains it per browser.
Counting that needs no cookie, and no question
Cloudflare, which serves this site, counts page views for me without setting anything on your device and without any identifier for your browser. It cannot tell one visit from another or follow you anywhere else, so there is nothing to consent to and nothing to switch off. It runs whether you accept or reject above, and it is the only reason I know whether anybody reads this at all.
What is stored without a cookie
Two things, both of which stay on your device and are sent nowhere.
yorro-consentin local storage: your answer to the question above, so you are not asked it every visit.yorro-assessment-v1in session storage: your place and your answers while you work through the Replaceability Risk Assessment, so a refresh does not send you back to the first question. Your browser discards it when you close the tab.
Your assessment answers reach me only at the moment you send the form. What happens to them then is in the privacy policy.
If this ever changes
Advertising networks come and go, and I may well add one. If I do, the table above gains a row and the privacy policy names the company before the first cookie is set. Your answer carries over: if you said no, the new one is denied too, and nobody asks you twice.
